The President's Day weekend was a hit for the lodge and for the local area. We had great numbers for lunch guest visitor's. In house wise we ran about 50% occupancy. The snow was a little light for the weekend traffic but did not here to many complaints because we are one of the few areas who has snow. Well on that note the snow has started and is coming down well as of now. We have received between 12 inches and 14 inches of fresh snow since last night and more is on the way. NOAA is calling for 3 - 4 ft of snow above 9000 ft in the next few days and from what I can see it just might happen and maybe even a little more. The guides where out this afternoon and where riding just around the lodge new Sublette Meadow and they where having face shots of snow over the hoods of the snowmobiles. It has only been a month since the last true snow storm and it truelly has felt longer. This new snow will help the backcountry riding conditions tremedously, we will then have to watch to see how the avalanche danger goes after this all clears. Lets hope the wind does not blow everything that is falling into the trees but at this time it is not and sure looks like the next 5 days will be some of the best riding since the end of January. Wish everyone could enjoy this fresh snow and if your around please stop in and at least tell us how it is.
